On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Production Supervisor to work in Kenya.
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervision of Production Activities:
    • Assist in the coordinating of production aspects towards ensuring smooth flow of operations as well as monitoring the production processes to address issues arising promptly.
    • Delegate tasks to production staff, providing clear instructions to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Quality Control, conduct regular checks towards maintaining quality standards of the product as well as implementation of effective control processes to minimise product defects and waste, working collaboratively with the quality assurance team to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Production Planning, prepare and plan a schedule for production for the day/shift to ensure proper stock control
  • Staff Management, facilitate daily shift meetings and resolve any issues pertaining to staff and manage grievances, leaves and and disciplinary issues as per company guidelines
  • Inventory Management, conduct regular inventory checks and reconciliation for discrepancies as required for raw materials provided to production
  • Safety and Compliance, ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by production staff and provide further training to production staff on safety practices and procedures. Also frequent safety inspections to be conducted to address any potential hazards within the production section.
  • Documentation and Reporting, maintenance of proper and accurate records on production logs, quality control checks and inventory levels, and further preparing daily production reports for management review and highlighting key performance metrics. Identifying areas of improvements through analysis of the records and data towards implementation of corrective actions and maximising efficiency.
  • Team Leadership and Training, providing and fostering a safe and positive culture among the production staff through guidance and training, as well as undertaking onboarding processes for new employees to the team.
  • Support in leave/off- relieving roles as prescribed by management
  • Any other duties deemed relevant by the management

Experience Profile
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a production environment, preferably in the food industry.
