On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Inventory Governance to work in Nairobi Kenya.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Governance Coordinator at plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of inventory management processes. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with various departments to guarantee a seamless inventory flow. The coordinator will actively engage in reconciling physical empties to SAP, ensure timely posting of receipts and issues to production, investigate 3PL activities for variances, and contribute to overall inventory governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Oversight:
  • Conduct regular audits to verify accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  1. Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure adherence to inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory documentation, including stock records and reports.
  1. Data Analysis:
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports for management on inventory status and performance.
  1. Collaboration with Departments:
  • Work closely with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Collaborate with finance to reconcile inventory records.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Implement measures to ensure the quality and condition of stored inventory.
  • Coordinate regular quality checks and address any deviations from quality standards
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and implement strategies for optimizing inventory processes and minimizing waste.
  • Propose and lead initiatives to enhance overall inventory governance.

Additional Requirements:

Physical Stamina: Capable of working for extended hours and performing tasks that may require physical exertion, such as conducting inventory audits and quality checks.

Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet inventory management demands.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field with professional qualification (CPA part II, continuing with part III).
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably in an FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proven experience in actively participating in inventory audits.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • Time management and ability to adjust priorities to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local shipping regulations.
