Job Description:
The Movement Coordinator at our client’s site is a vital role within the logistics team, focused on ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the company's supply chain. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers to facilitate the timely movement of raw materials and finished goods.
- Plan and coordinate shipments, considering factors such as product availability, transportation capacity, and delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate the movement of glasses from CGI to KBL after approval of quantities by the line manager.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize storage space and ensure the availability of products for production and distribution.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Prepare weekly reports on the availability of stocks (glasses) as requested by the line manager.
- Glass Conversion and Sorting:
- Coordinate the conversion and sorting of good glass.
- Coordinate the sorting of good glass.
- Coordinate housekeeping to create space for good glass.
- Coordinate crushing of bad glass.
- Shell Management:
- Coordinate crushing of shells.
- Coordinate sorting of shells.
- Quality Control:
- Coordinate sorting of glasses to ensure quality standards are met.
- Logistics Operations:
- Coordinate the loading and offloading of trucks.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree/certifications in logistics, inventory management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software for logistics and inventory management.
- Knowledge of local shipping regulations.
