On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Punch List Coordinator
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Report to: Commissioning Manager
Direct subordinates (number): 0
MISSIONS / JOB DIMENSIONS
The Punch list coordinator is responsible for the consolidation, tracking and clearance of Punch list. He is responsible to coordinate all disciplines to achieve full completion of subsystems.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
EACOP project includes a 1,445km 24” oil export pipeline, 8 above ground facilities, a green filed marine terminal with an export jetty and a series of 60 main line block valves and +20 trace heating stations. 150km of feeder lines from upstream facilities will tie-in to the EACOP project. The project contracting strategy entails 8 main packages to be executed through 15 different main Contracts. An EPcmC Contractor oversees Detailed Engineering, Procurement and construction management support interfacing with all other Contractors. EACOP direct personnel, including partners secondees will be more that 600 at peak periods during the execution phase of the project and up to 8,000 to 10,000 personnel, when including Contractors, expected to be mobilized across the various sites for construction activities. The pipeline project will be the largest privately led with Government participation transnational infrastructure project ever undertaken in the East African region. The context is complex with numerous stakeholders, environmental and societal / local content stakes, three partners, two involved countries new to oil development (Uganda and Tanzania), and the need for project development in accordance with IFC standards to secure the necessary financing.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ACTIVITIES
- Implementation of the Project safety management systems during the planning and execution of Pre[1]commissioning, Commissioning and Startup project phases, adapting them to the specific needs and unique risks.
- Responsible for HSSE performance for all personnel and facilities under their control.
- Promote safety and environmental awareness through inductions, training, inspection, and promotions
- Assist in investigation all incidents/accidents and near misses and present reports accordingly
- Responsible for coordinating the walk down and maintaining punch list items data integrity in Smart Completions Tool (CMT).
- Attend Walk Down meetings to ensure a Consolidated Punch List is generated.
- Expedite sign off Punch List Items.
- Responsible for categorizing the punch list items in accordance with Completions Plan and then issuing regular status reports to the site team throughout the various phases of the project.
- The Punchlist Coordinator also be responsible for coordinating with Commissioning Manager for reclassification of punch items at each stage of the project completion.
- Liaise with the Completion Lead to ensure all records are passed to the Completion team for entry into the database.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Cooperate and support the Operations team in the execution of Start-up activities.
- In coordination with the CMT Lead, prepare and organize the progressive Transfer of Operation and Maintenance of the facilities to CPY Field Operation Team (TOM Dossiers, Electrical isolation, As Commissioned documents, etc…)
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian rules, regulations, shareholder and governmental agreements, and standards relevant to project activities and project implementation in compliance with requirements in construction deliverables and site activities.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory frame in pipeline construction related activities.
- Supporting and coordination EACOP project teams processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry with similar large-scale projects & environment as Process Engineer.
- Must exhibit a strong track record of completion and success in delivery of commissioning and projects safely.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
