Job Purpose
The Procurement Lead will primarily be responsible for the timely procurement and delivery of high-quality, low-cost products and proper processing of assigned orders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement a regional procurement strategy that aligns with the Group’s overall business objectives.
- Establish and lead a high-performing procurement team across the Group, ensuring a standardized & efficient procurement framework.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives, ensuring the best value for money while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring business continuity and sustainability.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
- Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices across all countries’ operations.
- Lead negotiations with key suppliers to establish strategic partnerships, leveraging group-wide economies of scale.
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and service delivery to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical procurement standards, mitigating risks related to fraud, corruption, and supply chain disruptions.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor and control procurement costs to align with budgetary constraints.
- Track and report on procurement expenditures and savings initiatives.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, logistics) to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and international suppliers, ensuring a diverse and competitive supplier base.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management on cost-saving opportunities and procurement trends.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously review procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive digital transformation in procurement, implementing eprocurement tools and data-driven decision-making processes.
- Establish key procurement metrics and dashboards to enhance transparency and reporting.
Mandatory Requirements
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- CISP/CPSP certification is required.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and their interdependencies.
- Proven experience in third-party management, continuous improvement programs, and cost-cutting initiatives in procurement.
- A Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field is an added advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in procurement management.
- Extensive experience in supplier development, contract negotiations, and third-party vendor management.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoho
- Strong working knowledge of procurement management principles and best practices.
