On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Account executive.
Location: Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Job Purpose:
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the school fees payment value chain (Banks, Religious institutions, Owners associations)
  • Design and execute strategy to ensure maximum schools are on boarded and are utilizing the School pay platform.
  • Onboard and manage the relationship with top commercial Schools in the portfolio.
  • Manage school fees sales executives’ team to achieve set targets.
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ACTIVITIES PER KEY PERFORMANCE AREA:
School Acquisitions
  • Develop tactical strategies to enroll schools on the School Pay platform.
  • Engage Education Sector stakeholders like Government, Religious institutions (Catholics, Lutherans, Muslims and Seventh Adventists among others), school owners association, Banks to partner in acquisition and driving utilization.
  • Acquire commercial schools that will act as model schools for the platform.
  • Supervise and lead a team of Account executives, sales executives and achieve the set desired targets for onboarding and utilization.
  • Generate a country school database for enrollment and maintain sales pipelines for all schools to on-boarded.
Partner relationship management
  • Map all key stakeholders in the education sector, create and manage relationships with all key stakeholders in the education sector, including Government, Religious institutions (Catholics, Lutherans, Muslims and Seventh Adventists among others), school owners association, Banks etc.
  • Dealing with education sector requires good work relationship with partners such as they all own schools and therefore engaging them on a working partnership is key.
Ensure Customer support structure
  • Define and implement a support structure for on boarded schools, including query resolution, training and awareness
  • Work with the service providers to ensure back end support is implemented to ensure, creation of schools, uploading of students and other back office functions are efficiently carried out
  • Ensure that all schools enrolled are trained fully and are actively using the system.
  • Ensure training manuals and online training systems are put in place to ensure usage of the system.
Drive, Usage and retention.
  • Manage Attrition and report on all customers that have dropped off the system and are dormant.
  • Ensure a good working relationship with all schools is maintained by making sure all schools events is attended by the team and are present to sensitize the parents and students.
  • Organize regular school activations to drive usage and traffic of the product on Airtel Money
  • Conduct marketing activities in schools, radios and TV’s to ensure that product awareness is achieved and Airtel is the preferred brand of choice to be used
Provide Market insights and develop campaigns and to support business grow
  • Analyze competition data, pricing and published reports and campaign to derive competition insights.
  • Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business the units by efficiently leveraging data
  • Design and execute campaigns to ensure growth in market share, revenue, active customers, and transaction value.
Track team performance and give visibility of performance against set objectives
  • Maintain a School database that define all usage categories, active, dormant, churned, prospect, detailing customer segment and responsible account executives.
  • Define team monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, and ensure proper tracking of performance against target. Targets must be set for every Account manager and supervisors on the team.
  • Track and monitor all KPIs of the unit to advise business to take corrective measure frequently
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business administration/Marketing or related field and MBA.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in any education sector ERP digital systems or 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in hands-on experience in Relationship Management of schools like Banks.
  • Strong Business Knowledge - Must have exposure to School ERPs, school fees banking and other school related structures.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
  • Excellent level of knowledge of all products within a product family, Airtel’s policies and practices. Excellent understanding of reporting and planning processes.
  • Excellent, high level knowledge; complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of expertise and general knowledge of other related disciplines for business and market intelligence.
  • Good knowledge of Airtel’s products/services and pricing practices.
  • Basic knowledge and use of technical principles, theories and concept.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
