On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Sales Person.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a convincing and enthusiastic van salesman to promote and sell our products at customer locations. In this role, you will drive a Tukutuku on an established route, identify new sales leads in the area, and provide services to our regular customers. Your duties will also include keeping sales records and ensuring proper maintenance of the company vehicle.

We are seeking a convincing and enthusiastic van salesman to promote and sell our products at customer locations. In this role, you will drive a Tukutuku on an established route, identify new sales leads in the area, and provide services to our regular customers. Your duties will also include keeping sales records and ensuring proper maintenance of the company vehicle.
Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
- Drive a company-owned motor cycle (Tukutuku) to assigned territories, routes, or customer locations to conduct sales visits and deliveries.
- Take orders from customers, process sales transactions, and issue receipts or invoices for purchases.
- Price compliance and availability, carrying and selling stock daily
- Reconciling and ensuring no debt with Branch in charge
- Responsible for Listing of new SKUs and new brands, distribution across territory
- Delivering purchase orders and informing existing customers of new products.
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, addressing their needs and preferences to drive sales.
- Preventing damage to the delivery motor cycle and the company products being transported.
- Report customer complaints, issues, or concerns in a timely manner
- Follow safety protocols and driving regulations while operating the company van, ensuring safe transportation of products and personnel
- Maintaining sales and delivery records, as well as meeting sales targets
- Performing basic motor cycle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, and gas and oil levels
- Certificate/Diploma or Degree in the related field
- At Least 1 year of experience as a van salesman, or similar.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to assume responsibility for the delivery van and the products.
- Working knowledge of basic van maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating prices, discounts, and order totals.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry merchandise.
- Must be of unquestionable integrity, Honesty, Trustworthiness and Professionalism
