Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Limited Uganda is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Business Analyst. Located in Uganda, the incumbent will work with the rest of the Q-Sourcing Servtec Group entities across the region.  
 

JOB PURPOSE
To serve as an agent of change by analysing available financial and operational data to identify areas of continuous improvement in individual group entity productivity and responsiveness to local and regional market trends.   
The analyst will leverage data analytics to regularly assess and review operations, administration, and financial data, together with the related processes and systems for efficiencies, points of optimization and potential bottlenecks in the operations of the organization. The intended goal is to provide actionable data-driven insights that can improve the organization’s decision-making capabilities. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leading regular reviews/evaluation of business processes to uncover areas for improvement, gathering critical information from relevant sources/stakeholders to inform recommendations in developing optimization strategies.
  • Influence: Effectively communicating improvement areas using quantitative and qualitative findings, actionable insights/ideas and plans to entity Heads of Business Units and senior management teams with the major aim of influencing the strategic agenda.  
  • Providing technical support to the business entities and Line Managers in alignment and interpretation of financial and non-financial statistical information, with an aim to drive data- driven decisions.
  • Developing user friendly reporting tools and regularly preparing and publishing performance (revenue and expense variance) reports for the individual projects, business units, entities and the group.
  • Perform continuous month on month analysis on the pricing of the project, business unit, and entity service offerings, with the goal of maximising cost/benefit ratios and ultimately Return on Asset indicator (our assets are our contracts, purchase orders and service level agreements).
  • Accordingly, provide support in the preparations of board meetings for the group and the generation of the information/reports to present in the packs.  
COMPETENCES
Skills critical to the role:
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Competence in Microsoft business analytics applications.
  • The ability to analyse data models to deliver operational and strategic decision-making guides.
  • The ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of critical business processes and any underlying bottlenecks.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior-level management regarding the implementation of changes translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Competence in writing reports and making presentations to highlight the impact of changes to be made.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory requirements:  
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computing, Statistics or Business.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and data management skills
  • High proficiency with SQL and database management
  • A master’s degree is an added advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analytics and price modelling
  • Extensive experience with data visualization
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Sound knowledge and expertise in evaluating the implications of business process and pricing change.
