Role Overview

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will provide strategic leadership to define and execute QSSG’s technology vision across all entities. This role demands a forward-thinking leader who can implement enterprise systems, harness the value of data, and drive automation to optimize operations. The CTO will address organizational inertia by championing change management and cultivating a culture of innovation and agility to future-proof the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy and Digital Transformation
•    Develop and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with QSSG’s pan-African growth strategy.
•    Spearhead the implementation of an enterprise-wide ERP system, ensuring seamless adoption across entities and long-term optimization.
•    Lead the automation and digitalization of core processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
•    Identify and implement emerging technologies to drive competitive advantage.
2. Data Utilization and Analytics
•    Unlock the value of QSSG’s vast data assets by building robust analytics frameworks to support decision-making.
•    Drive the adoption of data-driven strategies across all entities, ensuring actionable insights for growth and operational efficiency.
•    Implement data governance protocols to ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of organizational data.
3. Change Management and Cultural Innovation
•    Overcome resistance to change by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and adaptability.
•    Develop and execute change management strategies to support technology adoption and workforce transformation.
•    Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders to build consensus and alignment.
4. IT Governance and Cybersecurity
•    Ensure the resilience, scalability, and security of QSSG’s IT infrastructure.
•    Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard data and systems across all entities.
•    Maintain compliance with regional and international IT standards.
5. Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
•    Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on technology-related decisions.
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders, including operational leaders and external partners, to integrate technology into business strategies.
•    Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering innovation and accountability.

Mandatory Qualifications

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
•    Master’s degree (MBA or Technology Management) preferred.
Experience
•    10+ years of senior leadership experience in technology, with a proven track record in driving digital transformation and leading enterprise-wide ERP implementations.
•    Extensive experience leveraging data and analytics to inform strategy and drive measurable outcomes.
•    Demonstrated success in managing multi-regional or Pan-African technology initiatives and navigating diverse cultural contexts.
