On behalf of one of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Technical Sales Representative.
Duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to the Go to Market and Channel strategies for the territory.
- Archive sales targets set based on current strategy and business plans.
- Develop medium and long terms plans through channels, influencers, and other demand creators.
- Develop a clear strategy for large scale farmers by identifying the farms and develop business rapport that will increase Syngenta Products uptake.
- Work hand in hand with distributor’s sales representatives and ensure Syngenta products are positioned in the market at right time in the right place.
- Prepare and carry products knowledge trainings to Agro dealers and farmers through demo plots, trials, and field days.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and marketing activities in the territory.
- Initiate projects that will support market growth to new crops and new strategic market segments.
- Scan and monitor the market dynamics, identifying and reporting any current and future foreseen opportunities and risks.
- Critical experience and knowledge on cropping practices and crop protection products
- Must have a minimum Degree in Agribusiness, or Agriculture
- Must be computer literate with a good grasp of Ms. Excel
- Experience in managing large scale farmers will be added advantage
- Must demonstrate ability to be a team player
- Proven ability to understand customer needs, structure, and business drivers
- Excellent communication skills
- 4 to 5 years of experience in agronomy industry.
