Job Role Description
The Market Development Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales and brand awareness of COMPANY Brands within their assigned territory. This position requires frequent direct interaction with customers at distributor stockiest and outlet levels, with the aim of positively influencing sales through relationship building, motivation, and effective networking.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. The role involves a high level of direct customer contact at the distributor's stockiest and outlet level. To positively influence sales of EABL Brands by regular contact, networking, and motivation in allocated retail accounts
  2. To achieve a set sales target within the given time frame in the respective territory
  3. Ensuring that all outlets are called on/covered as per agreed timelines mentioned in the journey plans
  4. Retail supervision -ensuring all outlets within the stipulated periods on the journey plan is covered
  5. Listing and selling our products in the outlets in respective territories
  6. Relationship building with outlet owners, staff and customers
  7.  Establish and maintain regular contact with distributors, stockiest, and outlet owners within the designated territory.
  8.  Actively work towards achieving sales targets within the specified timeframe.
  9.  Conduct retail supervision to ensure all outlets are visited within stipulated periods as per the journey plan.
  10.  Build and nurture strong relationships with outlet owners, staff, and customers to enhance brand loyalty and preference.
  11. Provide timely feedback to management on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  12. Collaborate with internal teams to implement marketing strategies and promotional activities effectively.
  13. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the beverage industry.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
5. Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
6. Knowledge of the local market and customer preferences.
7. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
8. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
